Grinner's break from Wrestling. Utah, Salt Lake City. Saturday 26th May.
Tom was thankful that he could have a break from wrestling that week of the PPV as he kind of needed to focus on his racing which turned out for the better as he was near the top of the time sheets in free practice and qualifying sessions that he had to do on those days. Also he didn't really want to go to the PPV just to enter into the rumble because he didn't really want to and plus it gave other people a chance to prove themselves worthy and it was mainly for the newer wrestlers anyway as he hears that IWF have had a few of them since his last win against Johan Alfredsson on Battle Grounds a week ago.
Tom was ready and was prepared to take a title championship chance since it was a last minute thing as IWF kind of thought they forgot about him but no they haven't as they rang him at the last minute to apologise to Tom on almost leaving him out of the Battle Grounds card so they put him in another title match chance but he had to win the match this week to do it. It was time for Tom to show these guys what he was made of as it might not be for qualifying for the New Blood title but it was something else called Full Throttle which would suit Tom perfect being in the other sport he's at.
Tom actually was loving the name of it purely because it had something to do with bike racing Full Throttle was indeed his thing especially how he was riding this season and of course it was a big smile on his face when he heard something like that for a title name. He had a grin on his face looking forward to hopefully qualify for the tournament but first he had to win against Beno and Duke Dice to make it there. Tom was standing in his Kawasaki garage and sits down on his own beginning to speak about it.
Tom Sykes: Who would've thought that racing had something to do with wrestling hey? Full Throttle title would suit me just fine since that is what I do in my job anyway. Of course I am excited about it because I was so close on getting a New Blood title shot but this is much better as I get to win the title that means more than the other one and it's the Full Throttle title. I got to beat two people on Beno and Duke Dice to do it.
That was all for today he was going to say as he will say more on Friday night when he will be finished with racing by the time this event comes around as was looking forward to it as racing came to a close as he went straight back into his motorhome that he has for racing eats something before going straight to sleep for Superpole the next day along with another qualifying session and another free practice session as well.

Tom was feeling really happy about the whole thing of being in the Full Throttle Qualifier as he brought himself a Beano comic when he was in the UK since America didn't sell any of those sorts of stuff as he looks in and sees Dennis The Menace, Bash Street Kids, Bananaman and all the other characters that were in the comic as he thought a lot about one of his opponents called Beno as he was sitting on the bench outside reading the comic that he read when he was a kid before becoming this professional bike rider and a wrestler all at the same time.
He was enjoying this comic however until he realises that his opponent was almost close to his name of this comic book on Beno as he was laughing just how much alike he was with these characters. Heck Tom dressed up as Dennis The Menace just to take the mickey out of him as that was one of the most famous names to come out of the comic. He was laughing and he begins to speak about his opponent.
Tom Sykes: Oh what is this? Someone that has a name that originally came from this comic called The Beano. It's OK dude I understand that you are a rookie kid around here but I been here longer than you and already I think you are a joke. You look like you read too many of these crap comics that you enjoy to read so much. You just make me laugh with this shit name you have. I know nothing about your wrestling skills and nor do I want to quite frankly because you remind me too much of a cartoon freak and a geek that enjoys reading comics and you are in this weird gang called Natural Law? Ha more like geek natural since you are one.
Tom even has this pretend toy dog with him that looked like Gnasher the dog that Dennis always brought out with him as he was thinking a lot about his name rather than taking him seriously as a wrestler which Tom didn't usually do at all as he just wanted to take the piss out of him with one of the comic characters in the book. Of course he knows about the other opponent that was in the match called Duke Dice but he goes and talks about him in a bit as he was more interested in this guy. He found his profile on IWF site the other day and he did look like a geek a big one as a matter of fact as he walks around with this black dog and being proud of it as people were looking at Tom as if he was being weird dressing up like Dennis The Menace.
He was enjoying it as the kids were looking at him with the costume and the mask he had on which looked a lot like this of one of the characters in beano.
All the little kids mainly the boys just wanted to follow Tom right now as it attracted the kids and the dog as well as he walks around the town just impressing people with the costume he made as well as the mask he had on.
Tom Sykes: What a mistake of someone like Chad Mason to put you in something like in a Natural Law gang when your name comes a lot closer to a person's named after a comic. You are pathetic Beano oops I am sorry Beno. Heck you haven't even had a match here yet and you are having a chance to go for a title? Seriously what are IWF doing in this place giving rookies like this comic guy a chance for a title shot? I had to earn my place in IWF just like I and Duke Dice has OK he's come back but at least he's had a match. This whole Beno thing is just as much as a joke as me dressed up as Dennis The Menace here.
Then he sat back down again thinking about the last guy he had almost left out on Duke Dice who he has heard of especially these last few weeks on IWF but at least he wasn't a joke of a wrestler like Beno was as in fact he respected this guy as he was a good wrestler as far as he had heard from a few matches he had watched of Duke online but only Tom knows that he can be better than him more with how long he has actually been in IWF but of course that Duke has been here longer because he joined back in September.
Tom was enjoying the fact that this match they were going to have was more than what he wanted as the champion Jason Hawk seemed to have more aggression than Anna Stone ever had in Tom's mind and the title name was much better as well as it would suit his image but now it was time to talk about Duke Dice someone for once that Tom actually respected a lot as a wrestler.
Tom Sykes: Now I move onto to you Duke Dice. I got to admit that you are very talented and skilled in the ring but there is one problem and that's the fact that you are standing in my way of achieving my goal to be the Full Throttle champion as well as the comic guy too but I have already talked about him. You seem to love to play poker against other people but I know a friend that does too but I am not going there because it has nothing to do with the match but he plays it every other month.
Tom of course was talking about Stefan Raab a guy that was known to make things happen and he actually wondered about him since he hadn't heard of him for a while more that Kelly told Tom not to talk to him but Tom's other friend was more around him as of late anyway as he did one thing that she was highly against burning the American flag because Stefan was pissed off on how the other place were treating him but he did think he went out of boundaries by doing that but he was drunk and people do silly things when they are drunk even Tom does at times especially when it was standing up naked on the table when he won his first race in World Superbikes this year.
Tom had to think about wrestling though as racing finished for him just for now until next month as he had a break away from racing as it was now time to focus on this match to qualify for the Full Throttle championship that he was placed in along with these other two guys and he is going to continue to talk about Duke Dice as he hasn't really said that much about him just the tiny bits he said earlier but now he was going to talk about him a bit more.

Pathetic that you do wrestling just for the money like everyone else around here. Me with money doesn't matter at all because I get paid to do racing anyway and quite a lot of it as well. Wrestling I feel is just a hobby of mine and of course I enjoy it like everyone else does too but just a few I know just do it for the money and I feel you are one of those people although you do have talent like I said earlier. Just don't really have anything else bad to say about you other than that.

Tom Sykes: I don't think personally you two deserve this title shot especially Beano comic freak that has just started here in IWF and Duke has just come back and me well I been wrestling since you been away Duke and since before you came here Beno. I been here the longest and also something you both don't know is the fact that this Full Throttle title will mean much more than me being champion because I am apart of a Full Throttle sport in being a professional motorbike rider not in motocross a circuit racing series called World Superbikes and that exactly why I am in this match to gain my shot for it. Good luck on trying to beat me guys because it won't happen tomorrow night.
Tom was officially done on talking about the match as it was time for him to head on back to his hotel room where he got something to eat and then it was nearly 12am at night as he turned the lights off and goes straight off to sleep dreaming about this title chance he got that suited him and his jobs he loved wrestling and racing.
