A visit to the doctor. Anaheim, California. Monday 6th January.
There's a time where wrestlers have to visit their doctors for check up, or when they got injured in their matches or they got something wrong with their illness because no wrestler has ever been feeling one hundred percent. It was any of those cases for Stefan however though as ever since he'd been diagnosed with diabetes, he's been taking the news hard and it came to a point that he felt he was weak and useless as a person. He came on his own because Jake had to go and do training for his upcoming début at a different wrestling company. After the doctor checked Stefan's heartbeats, his blood pressure and his blood which were all fine. They then sat down and the doctor begins to speak.
Doctor Michaels: “I know those things we've done just now isn't the reason why you're here so since you've booked an appointment to see me, lets talk about why you're here to see me today.
Stefan hated to be on his own because he was frightened to tell the doctor why he was here today and he'd rather not tell him, but Nicole Evans advised Stefan to go and see the doctor to discuss a problem that's been bothering him for a few weeks as he looks on the floor for a bit and then looks up as he begins to speak.
Stefan Raab: “It's about how I feel with having diabetes doc. Ever since I've been diagnosed with it, I've been struggling to cope with it because it made me feel that I'm unable to do things like I could before I had the problem.”
Doctor Michaels: “Do you feel it's affecting you to wrestle?”
Stefan Raab: “Yes it does because when I faced Travis Harris in a match over in TNT recently, I just felt everything I've done in the past in the ring, I couldn't do because of the fear of passing out in the match. I lost the match and the chance to go through the tournament to win the TNT title due to that and now I feel scared every time I wrestle against somebody.”
It was driving Stefan mad everyday that he couldn't wrestle to his full potential and his performance against Travis Harris was really bad. He knows he couldn't do anything to get rid of diabetes, but at least he could get his mental problem with his diabetes sorted as he continued to speak.
Stefan Raab: “It hit me hard because Travis Harris is a great wrestler and I respect him a lot but now, I think he will hate and disrespect me forever because of my awful performance against him in the ring. Another thing that's really affecting me is the amount of training I'm limited to do. I hate having to stop in the middle of training because of my diabetes to check for my blood pressure and being told to go home.”
Doctor really felt bad for him as he knew Stefan wasn't done talking because he could see in his eyes that there's more to the story with Stefan's issues with diabetes. Stefan was shaking like mad because of being worried that he shouldn't wrestle ever again and he continued to speak.
Stefan Raab: “It got me so depressed that I started to drink lots of vodka at home and at a nightclub that's not far from where I live to get rid of the sorrows I have about. I felt like this is like cancer for me to be limited to what I can do both in and out of the ring.”
Doctor listens to everything Stefan's saying as he wanted to interrupt him, but Stefan had more to say to the story as he was almost ready to cry, because he hates the fact that he's going to be called a joke in wrestling as Stefan explains in more detail.
Stefan Raab: “Now with my diabetes, I feel that wrestlers in World Elite Wrestling are going to take the piss out of me because of it and being a useless wrestler. Please doc, you got to help me with how I can cope with this problem before I try to commit suicide again.”
That was when Stefan cried because he didn't know how he would be able to cope with it and the doctor was now extremely worried about Stefan thinking and wanting to kill himself again as the doctor begins to speak.
Doctor Michaels: “Stefan please don't try to commit suicide again because you will only do yourself more harm than you think. I can tell you need a hell a lot of help on how you should cope with your diabetes, but the thing is you got to live with it for the rest of your life whether you like it or not. Lots of people have had diabetes ever since they were younger, especially the type you got.”
Stefan Raab: “I know, but what can I do to help myself cope with it?”
Doctor Michaels: “Just because you got diabetes and that you lost your match against Travis Harris, it doesn't mean that you can't wrestle any more. I know a few top wrestlers in the world have diabetes and some have even become champions because they didn't let diabetes get to them. That's what you got to realize that you aren't the only wrestler in the world to have this problem. Hell, some wrestlers you work with may have diabetes without realizing it. For you to cope, you got to overcome your problems and don't let it make you give up your life.”
Stefan Raab: “That's what Nicole Evans said and she's the one that told me to come and see you because I can't handle it and the fear I have of losing and failing to perform my best efforts in the match all the time is there consistently.”
Doctor Michaels: “As I said you can work around your diabetes, just be curious of checking your blood glucose levels from time to time because if it's too low, the trainers at the TNT facility have every right to send you home and the same for wrestling as well. Always eat something a few hours before you wrestle and always keep yourself hydrated before, during and after exercise and have a snack handy if it drops too low.”
Stefan at this point just nods because there wasn't much he could say as the doctor continues to speak to him about his problem.
Doctor Michaels: “Yes you are limited to training and how you wrestle in the ring, but that shouldn't be the reason why you should stop wrestling. Just continue training and wrestling how you usually were. Your fitness levels shouldn't affect you any differently to before. The fans want to see a hero like you overcome his problems and wrestle the best you can. They depend on you because it doesn't matter to them if you win or lose your match, they just worry and care about you performing in the ring for them with your diabetes.”
Stefan then stops crying and looks up to the doctor and realizes everything the doctor was saying was true that Stefan's goal was to not worry about his problems, he needed to overcome them and he has
Stefan Raab: “You're right that the World Elite Wrestling fans and wrestlers depend on me especially on representing their company in the APW Survive and Conquer rumble match I got coming up in my home country in Germany and the Unsanctioned match against Blake Jones in Australia a week after that. I can't let them down, I got to be strong mentally with myself and just not let the worries get to me.”
Doctor Michaels: “That's exactly what you should do. I want you to go home, think about what I've said and just wrestle. I'll see you again in two weeks time to see how you are then. Bye Stefan.
Stefan Raab: “I will think about the things you've said and just to get on with my job. Bye doc.”
Stefan and the doctor shake hands as the doctor showed Stefan the door to send him out of the doctor's office since he had other patients to see and Stefan then held his head in the air, smiling that he got his problems solved as he went in his car to go back to his house to get some sleep throughout the whole day.
Back in the gym. San José, California. Tuesday 7th January.
Stefan had been doing nothing, but training to improve on the one thing he knows he was lacking a lot when it comes to in ring performance and that was his stamina. Apart from lifting a few weights, stamina work was all he had been doing inside of the TNT facility gym. Although he had only a limited time of training every day, he was making the most of it by coming in and doing work. While Stefan was running on the treadmill, one of the TNT trainers walked over to him and begins to speak to him.
TNT trainer: “Unfortunately, you have to stop training now because of your diabetes, but Jake is waiting for you in the locker room. You've done well today in the training and in the gym. I know you're going to hate this, but you have to take a day off tomorrow from training and working out in the facility.”
Stefan as usual hates that he had to take a day from training because he wanted to make up for the lessons he lost, but he knew that he'd almost caught up with everybody else with the training with the sessions he'd missed since Stefan's had private lessons recently to catch up. He begins to speak as he shakes his head by saying this.
Stefan Raab: “No, I don't want to take a day off training because I want to continue training all day and night.”
TNT trainer: “You lost the match against Travis Harris a few weeks ago because of you over training and plus with your diabetes as well so please, take a day off and rest just for tomorrow.”
It drove Stefan mad as he was so dedicated to training and being the best wrestler in the company, pushing himself to the limits like nobody has ever seen from a guy like Stefan. He sighed as he had no choice but to stop running on the treadmill as he gets off from the machine, takes a few drinks with his bottle of water and wipes the sweat off from his forehead.
Stefan then went to take a shower which took him twenty minutes to do and then he came out of the shower room and walked into the changing rooms where he saw Jake sitting on a bench as he came and sat down next to Jake and begins to speak.
Stefan Raab: “What are you doing here, Jake?"
Jake Raab: “I wanted to see you because I've heard some disturbing things that you need to tell me right now.”
Stefan hears Jake having an angry tone of voice in him and Stefan wasn't sure why Jake was angry with him as he hadn't pissed anybody off in WEW or done anything wrong as far as Stefan knew in himself as he begins to speak.
Stefan Raab: ”Like what?”
Jake Raab: “You trying to commit suicide from drinking vodka not only from Fizz, but also from Nicole Evans as well. Are you trying to throw away a chance to become a top wrestler in TNT or something?”
Stefan Raab: “Not at all. I just felt bad that day I drank lots of vodka in my house and in the nightclub as well. You know with my diabetes and people saying shit of what I've done in the past. I got sick and tired of it that I went and did it”
Jake Raab: “How many times have we gone through this? Didn't you pay attention to what Travis Harris said to you before his match against you that suicide is never the answer to your problems?”
Stefan didn't quite remember it as he wasn't in the arena when Travis said that about him and he had to take note of everything people say about him and remembering what he, Jake and Nicole said to Stefan these last few weeks and he has a think before he speaks up again.
Stefan Raab: “Sorry Jake, but I don't remember Travis saying that about me at all. I just remember what Nicole said to me that I shouldn't let diabetes beat me and that I should win the fans over by wrestling over and over again to make them be proud of me and being their hero and the doctor said that to me as well.”
Jake Raab: “You should take their advice and do as they say Stefan and you know damn well that I've been telling you those things as well. Don't let people doubt you Stefan because what you did is letting them win and that's something you can't do against Justin Blade on Thursday night.”
Stefan remembers however that Justin had already made Stefan pretty angry by not giving him any attention at all whatsoever to the words he said about him and it got a bad taste in Stefan's mouth, seeing that nobody has ever gone that far on pissing him off since he started to wrestle in TNT as he looks stern in Jake's eyes by saying this in anger.
Stefan Raab: “Did you hear what that asshole said about me last week Jake? He said that he wasn't going to talk about me like I'm being treated as a damn joke in wrestling.”
Jake Raab: “The thing is Stefan. What Justin doesn't realize is by him saying that, he's afraid of you because he knows you're a bigger star than him and it got him jealous. Not to forget that he calls nearly everyone nobodies and that they are nothing to him.”
Stefan Raab: “That's another thing that pissed me off as well. Doesn't he know that everybody he faces against are a threat to him? He's such a douchebag that I want to beat up and I'll end up punching his mouth out on treating me and everyone in World Elite Wrestling such disrespect. I'm getting out of here and talk more about this prick tomorrow. Let's go Jake.”
Stefan went to get himself undressed to get back into the clothes that he was wearing before he started to do training and gym work for his match against Justin Blade on Thursday night as he and Jake went back in Stefan's car to drive home to Anaheim, California.
War horse blade museum. San José, California. Wednesday 8th January.
Stefan appeared inside of a museum where there was lots of pictures and objects around relating to people riding on a horse, fighting against each other with swords and even some with knife blades and it was a perfect day to go there since he needed to get away from being in gyms and arenas. He needed to explore San Jose a bit more so he found this museum and decides to have his own tour in the museum and he has the camera crew following him to put the video on his special youtube channel he set up a week ago. Stefan stood opposite a picture of people on horses killing each other with sword blade as he begins to speak.
Stefan Raab: “Here I am at the war house blade museum that I found on looking up this place online and I thought what a perfect place to discover while being away from gyms and arenas that I needed to do. I think I don't really need to explain the reason why I'm here since it's pretty straight forward with who my opponent is for this week. It's amazing seeing pictures of these men you can respect, fighting for their life which is something I do every single day coming from committing suicide and now fighting against diabetes, but these men had to kill each other against other countries to fight for their country all those years ago. I wouldn't say I'd kill against other wrestlers around the world, but again it's representing myself fighting for World Elite Wrestling nearly everyday in every global tournament I wrestle in.”
Stefan still looked at the picture with a heavy glance, looking very interested in the picture as he'd hope he will find a sword blade inside of the museum along with thinking of positive comments he can say towards Justin as that was proving to be a challenge as last week it was a challenge to say something bad towards Travis and the same again only good things this time as he begins to speak.
Stefan Raab: “This hasn't been easy for me to come up with positive things about you but here it is. I give you credit for wanting to stick around World Elite Wrestling and trying to make a name for yourself which not many wrestlers like yourself have done and indeed you do have a lot of talent in the ring from the match I watched against Mikal Jordan a few weeks ago and you've had great matches in your time with World Elite Wrestling, teaming up with Angelica Monroe to try to win the tag team titles and again with Werewolves of London.
Not forgetting the memorable fight you'd had two years ago in a last man standing match against Randy Orton, a man who I respect a lot because he mentored my cousin Jake Raab in the cutthroat competition that took place a while ago just like this picture here of a man showing him tricks of how to kill someone which he did in this next picture I'm going to show you and everyone else around the world on my exclusive youtube video channel that will be posted later today. I can't afford to over look you Justin because if I do I can easily lose the match like I did a couple of weeks ago.”
Stefan hated to do trash talking because it wasn't his sort of style when it came to World Elite Wrestling but he couldn't be more angry than he's been since Stefan came back to the company due to everybody else not really had anything bad or offensive people have said to him. He continues to speak.
Stefan Raab: “But why is it every time you know you going to fail, you just walk away again? That shouldn't be the way of doing things at all because you come out fighting and proving people wrong dude. I'm not going to run my mouth about you, but you need to sort that out and decide if you are going to stick around. You run away from a fight because I feel personally that you can't handle losing matches in wrestling. Everybody loses matches in wrestling and overcome them like I do each day. I didn't run away once after I lost the match against Trisha because it done me a lot of good being away from Animosity for a while with all the garbage I've done against her and your former tag team partner Angelica Monroe. For a whole year, I had to think about what I was doing wrong and my attitude rubbed people the wrong way hence why people hated me which now I'm changing big time due to that as you saw me walking into Zharya Burke's office and apologizing to her because it was the right thing to do to move on from the past mistakes I've made.
I can see your arrogance hasn't changed at all since you last wrestled on Adrenaline, especially when you addressed all of the opponents that were and still are in the tournament and yet you show disrespect to each one of them because you can't have the dignity to show them respect? That's why people like you can't take the wrestling business seriously because of comments like towards Mikal Jordan being a nobody and a nothing but guess what Justin? You haven't really done enough to consider yourself being someone in this business either.
I'm not going to call what you've said to Mikal above because I know better than anybody in this business to not overlook anybody as a threat to any match I take part in and right now, I see you as a threat but the question is do you? Because as I said to Travis Harris a few weeks ago that I go to that gym and train everyday because I want to become one of the top and best wrestlers in TNT. Me, Jeffrey and Travis out of the elitist wrestlers have been in TNT since the day the brand opened while everyone else had vanished, gone from wrestling in the company because they realized that it takes a lot of hard work to wrestle for the fans and people in the back to respect who we are as wrestlers and you have to be in top shape to be a wrestler as well.”
Walking away from wrestling once and coming back was one thing, but to do it more than twice was a cardinal sin in the wrestling business for Stefan as he looked at another picture of men fighting in the background in the war and then right in the middle was a guy running away on his horse from a fight and that was the thing Stefan could never like or respect a guy for on running away from fights, not able to undo the mistakes they've done in the business.
Stefan Raab: “That guy running away from the fight on his horse is deviantly what Justin Blade does in World Elite Wrestling every single time he's been in the company.”
Ouch that was really going to hurt Justin's feelings Stefan thought to himself, but he didn't care because people like him in his mind deserved to be put down to make Justin feel ashamed of himself for the things he said towards wrestlers who Stefan respects as he continues to speak.
Stefan Raab: “You always wonder why you lost the chance to become tag team champions with Angelica and with Jacob Grant? It's because these two stars were better than you in the ring and they carried you to victories in wrestling as well and to be honest, that's all you've really done in wrestling. You can call me a nobody if you want to, but just realize this that if you do, you would make yourself look like a complete fool, especially when nearly everyone knows who I am in the wrestling world because I represent WEW everywhere I wrestle if it's here, in other companies or in global wrestling tournaments.
I'm always there giving it one hundred percent every time I wrestle and that's another thing that pisses me off that you don't seem to be interested in working for WEW either or even care about the company, even though you did represent WEW in the APW Survive and Conquer match back in two thousand and twelve, but you lost interest after that interfed competition you lost in. I'm going in my second year being in that match and it's all down to the German fans, counting on me to perform the best wrestling they've seen from a German wrestler.
That's not relevant though because you seem to have your head so far up your backside that you refuse to consider me a threat in this upcoming match when I've got a win ahead of you since I've been in TNT but then again it's because I've been here longer than you. Most people say that you have more experience than me in the ring? When it comes to WEW experience, you do have an advantage over me on that side of things, but in terms of wrestling experience in general, I have an advantage over you and the wrestling experience counts more than the amount of experience you've had in World Elite Wrestling. At least a few weeks ago, I spoke the truth that I didn't deserve to be in the main event match with Travis Harris and I certainly didn't deserve the TNT championship title shot either.
What I wanted to do when I came back to wrestle in World Elite Wrestling was to prove myself that I deserved to be a top wrestler around here and sure I lost that match but it was because I wasn't ready to go to win a title, especially that it was my first match back in WEW since August but unlike you I can admit it and that's something you have to do more was telling the truth that you weren't ready and most wrestlers wouldn't even dear to tell the truth like I have.
I lost to a great wrestler like Travis Harris that did deserve to go through to the tournament and win the TNT title more than I did since he's proved himself enough to be at the top but I hadn't done anything since my win against Bart Napier to be up there with Travis or at least I didn't think I did, but a lot of people said that I gave Travis the toughest fight he's had to go through since he's wrestled against anybody in TNT."
Stefan continued to look at the pictures until he came across a large sword that had been used in the war and the people in the museum actually let Stefan touch the sword that everyone of the visitors weren't allowed to do. He swings the sword about that had a golden handle and had quite a lot of rust on the blade as he continues to speak one last time.
Stefan Raab: “I'm going to beat the respect out of you Justin because your arrogance is going nowhere but down the toilet because you're a joke to the wrestling business. Sorry to be hash but it's the truth since you didn't even say shit about me, but that's fine for you to be a hypocrite because you do show that you are afraid of me because of my success in wrestling just like that British guy on Adrenaline talking shit about me. I will always be remembered in WEW because of my matches I've had in TNT and wrestling on Animosity for three matches and I haven't regretted it because I'm a big name in this company and I will continue to have a legacy in WEW.
It's people like you that do nothing but taking a dump in the wrestling business and for the sport to become of a damn joke. You should see me as a threat and you should know with the amount of losses you've had in World Elite Wrestling including your last loss is making me extremely confident on me beating you. I'm wrestling for myself and the fans tomorrow night because without them, WEW wouldn't be around because we get paid from them attending our matches and merchandise they pay for watching us talented wrestlers to go out to the ring and bust our ass to win matches.
I'll make sure the world knows what an embarrassment you are by going in this match and show the fans and wrestlers in backstage what happens to someone that pisses everything we work for on a daily bases. I'm not going to hurt you and send you to hospital because I'm not that kind of guy, but I'm certainly going to make sure by the end of the night, you will show respect to me that I represent WEW all over the world to show my WEW colours. You have to earn respect from a lot of wrestlers if you want them to take you seriously as a wrestler which clearly you haven't earned at all and that's why I'm going to pin you for the three count with me standing over you after I get my hands raised in the middle of the ring because I'm very confident that I can beat you in the TNT ring. Tomorrow night Justin Blade right here in San José, California, you'd better be prepared to get Raabinated by The Killerplauze."
Stefan finished looking inside of the museum as he'd put the sword back where it belongs and gets in his car to drive home with a smile on his face before arriving home and doing gym work all day and night inside of his house before going off to sleep with full of confidence for his match against Justin Blade in the TNT arena tomorrow night, dreaming about winning the match against Justin.
