Archery beginners tournament win party. Gilroy, California. Saturday 6th July. (Off Camera)
It was a big win last weekend for Jake to not only winning his match against Senor Vinnie at Sin City Wrestling's Into The Void Eight Supershow but also winning something he only had a couple of lessons with, an archery tournament in the beginners level. Gary, his archery friend who also was in the tournament, came close to winning the expert level tournament but lost by five points to come second.
It was a massive risk for the archery coach, Darren to take Jake on board to replace a guy in the tournament, but it paid off as the guy who Jake replaced known as Luke, shook his hand and says this.
Luke: "I'm glad you were the one who won the tournament. Was so gutted I couldn't compete in it this year due to my mum having cancer."
Jake Raab: "We all understand. How is she doing?"
Luke: "She's getting there, still finding it a struggle to cope with her breast cancer, but she was proud I was there for her instead of being apart of the tournament."
Jake Raab: "The thing is, the guy who ran the tournament said I was too good for beginner level."
Darren: "Yes, William said that to me on the phone. He sees your potential and nearly wanted you to join his archery class, but gutted to find out you've been signed to my archery class. Honestly, I didn't see it coming, you capturing the win and some of those guys had way more experience than you."
Jake nods as there was lots of food like sausage rolls, pork pies, egg rolls, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, pasta, salads and lots more food. There were also drinks like coke, diet coke, monster and red bull energy drinks, beer, orange and apple juice, sparkling water and still water. Jake was playing it safe with getting himself some chicken slices, pasta and salad to eat.
Ian: "Taking it easy there, aren't you?"
Jake Raab: "I have to with facing against Mark Storm coming up in Iconic Pro Wrestling."
Gary: "Wait, I thought you wrestle in Sin City Wrestling?"
Jake Raab: "I do, but to tell you guys the truth, the only reason I signed to wrestle in Iconic Pro Wrestling is to earn respect from other wrestlers and getting some friends and possibly, a girlfriend as well. I don't have friends; I don't get respect from any wrestler in Sin City Wrestling and more often than not, get trashed just because of my past. I want to move on from it, and both male champions want nothing to do with me."
Ian: "Despite you wanting to earn title shots."
Jake Raab: "I have done everything there to convince the two top champions to see changes, but they refuse to, although I'll still be there, regardless because it's only cowards who leave wrestling companies just for that reason."
Both of his friends nod as Luke came towards Jake and shook his head on what he was telling the guys that he had to join another company to get the things he wanted.
Luke: "Why doesn't anyone want to face you in SCW then?"
Jake Raab: "I begin to feel that as well, but I have no idea. I also know the boss, well has a history with both of my cousins. I'm not going to attempt to interact with Joshua Samson unless I have to. I'm keeping my head on being known as The Fiery Target, and right now, Mark Storm, who also has a history with both of my cousins is my target."
Ian: "Do they know about you wrestling in Iconic then?"
Jake Raab: "Konrad does, but Lord Raab doesn't because he knows he'll be pissed off at me for joining Joshua, but it was either he or the company that's like the one Samuel and Lord Raab were in, a company that's similar to them allowed Noble Savage to trash their son. At least Joshua isn't an asshole, regarding that."
Darren sees Jake talking about wrestling, and he says this while patting on Jake's shoulder, giving him a smile on his face.
Darren: "Hey, let's talk about archery, shall we? After all, that's what the party is about."
Jake Raab: "Believe me, this tournament cup and medal is the proudest thing I've won since I won MMA titles in my career. It was well earned with hard work. I love being an archer. I love hitting targets with arrows because it relaxes me and makes me the guy I am today. Without Edgar and you, I'd be Jake Raab, still being under my family's shadow."
Darren: "The reason you won is that you were confident. Sure, you showed nerves, but I do think it's down to the competition. You may have lost against the top archers in the last contest, but you hang on, and that's important. You can achieve anything you want, and that's not just in archery or wrestling, it's in life too."
Jake Raab: "Yeah, you're right. I felt confident, believing I can win this and do it in a way I earned it with hard work and dedication. I wish I could practice some shots with bow and arrow today."
Darren smiles, he saw how much Jake wants to do some shooting with the arrows, and he nodded as Darren places face pictures of Mark Storm on the archery boards as a few guys brought a lot of arrows and a bow for Jake. Jake walks to the target area, which were far away from food and drinks, being served. He takes a few sips of still water before standing where the line is on the floor, and Jake lines himself up and takes ten shots of the targets.
Jake Raab: "Damn it; I missed a few."
Darren: "I think you work best with anger. Let's see that anger fire lit up your ass like you do when you're wrestling in the ring. Let's see it, Jake. Be The Fiery Target, everyone knows."
Jake grits his teeth before he sees his friends placing the arrows back to where they were as he waits for all arrows to be collected. A few minutes later, they were back in the arrows holder. Jake's gritting his teeth before lining the arrows up. This time, because he was intense, he became more focused and hit every single target on Mark's nose. He feels relieved after doing those arrow shots as everyone pats him on the back.
Ian: "Damn, I can see why you're focused when you're angry. You're excellent when you're on form, Jake."
Gary: "I quite agree with Ian; I've never seen anyone use anger as a positive thing. Most people scream and shout with anger, but it's a silent thing for you, and you use it to your advantage. Not many people can do that in the world of archery."
Darren: "That's something unique, indeed. No archer I see when I look in Jake's eyes with the anger that process the amount of will to want to improve and get better at archery like Jake. It's a different as while all of you show it in different ways as well of wanting to improve, Jake has, and he's going to move up to the immediate ranks as from next week."
Ian: "Congratulations, Jake. Welcome to the immediate level club."
Jake Raab: "Thank you, now I got to focus on defeating the more experienced wrestler of Mark Storm. It's not bad history as such he's had with either of my cousins, but just fought and defeated them. No beef or bad blood with him and I'll treat him that way. I also got to be careful of Joshua Samson as well, if he attempts to screw me."
Ian: "Let's celebrate a bit more."
As they all do with the celebration of Jake's favourite metal music of Rammstein and Eisbrecher of German metal, especially the second German metal group of everyone never heard about them, but it was something new for everyone, apart from Jake. They celebrated for the next two hours, before everyone, but Jake went home.
Darren left the keys on the table as Jake did some more shots with the targets with the bow and arrows and managed to hit all the targets perfectly and he has done so for the last two hours. After he's finished, he collects all the pictures of Mark Storm and places them in the bin nearby before placing the bow and arrows away in the storage, along with the bow holder. He locks the room up and locks the archery club and halls up.
He passes the keys to Darren who waits in his car, and he drives off home as so does Jake. A few days later, since the event was only an hour from where he lives in Huntington Beach, California, he won't go to Santa Monica, until the day of the event. Sunday and Monday are spent in the acting school and preparing for the match against Mark Storm. After he came home from acting school and two hours of gym work on Monday, he sets the cameras up in his home and speaks on camera.

Earning and gaining respect from Iconic Wrestlers is the goal for this match. Jake's camera. (On camera)
"I never expected my first match in IPW to be against the most experienced wrestler I've fought to date, and that includes everyone in Sin City Wrestling, Mark Storm. Of course, I need to introduce myself at the same time. I'm The Fiery Target, Jake Raab and my addiction and hobby are watching all of the Arrow TV series, collecting anything from Arrow TV series and of course, archery.
Archery relaxes me and something I feel I'm good at because of Oliver Queen being so good at killing his enemies with arrows. He's fantastic at what he does. Point is I'm full of fire, like Fiery states because I focus on my matches more when I'm angry, and that's something Mark has to look out for.
You've achieved so many titles in your career, more than I've held if you include my Honor title run, but I don't count that as I got the belt in the circumstances, I shouldn't have demanded. I should've earned it. I learn from my mistakes, and I won't do that again. You are a massive target in my way that I need to overcome, especially Joshua Samson.
Joshua, you remember Markus Lord Raab and Konrad Raab? The guys you screwed around a lot, and they haven't forgotten about it. Mark Storm, unlike you, respected them as wrestlers and defeated them. Listen, Mark, you may have beaten Markus and Konrad, but I'm nothing like them. I'm a guy who shares the same surname with them, that's it. Nothing else is similar to them, although I'm a Raab who's not afraid to get my hands dirty if I have to and a Raab who respects wrestlers like yourself too.
However, from all the experience you have in the world over me, I've pushed myself non stop to gain the respect from wrestlers here because I'm going to be a good guy who will try my best not to be angry and get title matches after three matches. I'm going to put in hard work and bust my ass to defeat you Storm because sometimes, experience doesn't always win you matches, it's about being the top wrestler in IPW.
I'm looking forward to this match with a guy who will give it his all and do anything possible to beat me, but it won't happen because I need this win from you and I will succeed because that's the kind of guy I am. I respect you and your abilities in the ring, but they won't be enough when you're going against a powerhouse, MMA skills Jake Raab who's hot on your tail will pin you for the three count or make you tap out. Good luck Mark, because you will need it."
