Discussions about the title shots/title opportunity stuff. Chicago, Illinois. Saturday 24th November (Off camera)
While Konrad still comes over to Mattia's house to double check the payments he had to pay, although he had a job now which was consistently very busy for Mattia, working on cars, bikes, vans and lorries to fix them. Konrad has seen Mattia being a lot more happier now with bills being nearly up to scratch, although it almost took him long few weeks to get to where Mattia is in his life now. Konrad never ever betrays his family and always there for them when they needed help, including helping Markus with public speaking and creating merchandise for another company Markus was apart of.
All this doesn't relate to what's going to happen as Konrad and Mattia weren't the only ones in the small apartment with them, they had a visitor, someone who Konrad's very close to and isn't a family member, someone known as Jerry Flack who's his mental trainer. He really needed to talk to Konrad and they sit down in the kitchen with Mattia at work to fix a car, Jerry says this.
Jerry Flack: “Do you know what I did last week after you went straight to Mattia's home?”
Konrad Raab: “No, what?”
Jerry Flack: “I went to talk to Zane Scott, you know the guy who's your tag partner. It's not about the depression talks, you were helping him out there, but he told me about your refusal for title matches.”
Konrad Raab: “What I refuse to do is pay my way to the top.”
Jerry Flack: “I know and believe me, I do get your strong morals about this, especially about your past, but how are you ever going to get a title opportunity, let alone a title shot if you don't start claiming you want to win a belt?”
It was clear Konrad didn't want to put himself down as it was clearly heading that direction when the talks about titles are mentioned and he says this.
Konrad Raab: “I don't want to say this, but I don't deserve a title shot or opportunity, not how my performances have gone in my recent matches.”
Jerry Flack: “Are you telling me you don't feel confident in yourself?”
It was a very long pause as it was the one thing Konrad does fear of, lowing himself to standards as he doesn't say anything, but Jerry knows that's exactly the case and he didn't have great performances in the ring, but he still tries hard.
Jerry Flack: “I'm disappointed. Konrad, you know I'm here for you always and always here to help you. No, you've not won many matches since that tag match a few weeks ago, but Zane's right in him saying you need to take risks, you need to step out of your comfort zone to do things you don't like or agree of doing.”
Konrad Raab: “Sorry to break it to you Jerry, but I will never lower myself to pay for title shots. When Zane said that, it made me question literally if I want to be apart of UGWC because nobody should ever pay to get a title match. Just no.”
Jerry Flack: “Everyone else is doing it. That's the reason why you haven't had title shots and it's not just down to your performance, heck that's not even the reason for it, but your incapability of thinking things farther. I know you respect the wrestling business, but things are different in UGWC.”
Konrad Raab: “I don't care about everyone paying for title shots, it's something I will never do, unless I'm forced to, you will never ever see me pay to get a title shot. It's ridiculous you even want me to reconsider doing that. That's what makes me different to them. If I want a title match, I earn it.”
Jerry shakes his head as he did want Konrad to be a title contender, heck he feels Konrad's ready for it, especially he's likely the only wrestler in UGWC who's not really had a proper run for title shots apart from the cooperation title match which he earned at Wrestlestock. Konrad and Jerry drink orange juice and he responds.
Jerry Flack: “Well it's not just for title shots. You can pay for title opportunities like being a title contender for the Cross-Hemisphere belt. Or pay for matches against opponents you want to face as you have with Dave Rydell and Phrixus Deimos.”
Konrad Raab: “Truth been told Jerry, I also didn't know about this purse scheme of things until Zane told me.”
Jerry Flack: “I understand, but Zane gave you a wake-up call. He literally asked me why don't you take those opportunities and how you should take advantage of that. He was helping you because you helped him.”
Konrad Raab: “However I did want a one on one match with Dave Rydell since that attack after the cooperative title match in August. Sure he talked crap about me, but I ignored him as I learned from the course.”
Jerry knew the discussion Konrad had with Zane had opened his eyes to everything, even the point of him taking the opportunity of being a title contender which is still something Konrad hadn't commented about yet and he brings it up again.
Jerry Flack: “Don't go off topic Konrad. You haven't commented on what I said and I want you to seriously consider this. Truth been told, I'm sick and tired of you waiting around for title opportunities and I want you to do something about it.”
Konrad Raab: “Why?”
Jerry Flack: “For god's sake, because you're being a sitting duck for many months and it's time you ought to jump yourself there. Yes, you want to earn title matches by winning matches, but paying for a title opportunity is the way you get others saying, Konrad wants to be a champion, Konrad wants to be viewed as a championship wrestler and right now, you aren't because of that.”
Konrad Raab: “I don't care what they think. I know what I want to do with my career and challenging Dave and Phrixus to a handicap match is that risk I'm willing to take and I was the one who challenged Dave Rydell to a one on one match, he didn't do that.”
It's true, Jerry did hear Konrad talking about that handicap match he wanted, the only problem was because Dave is cooperation champion, the challenge for the PPV side of things can't be done and he nodded as he says this to Konrad.
Jerry Flack: “I know you did and I'm glad you've done that, even if it was a big risk to take, but that's only the start of it. Point is you need to start using opportunities to benefit you, despite your morals about it, despite how much you respect the business, it's not degrading to pay for a title opportunity. You need to start thinking about that and I'm not shutting up until you speak about it.”
Konrad Raab: “I will think about it, there is that good enough for you?”
Jerry Flack: “A bit, but I want you to not think about it, just do it. It's not going to hurt and I don't think anybody would talk crap about you if you did. It's time for you to step out of your comfort zone and do something different. You're ready, doesn't matter about wins and losses.”
Konrad Raab: “OK in the new year, I start to make changes and try to accept things being different. I'm finding it difficult with this change and I don't know if I can cope with this whole purse scheme in place cos it's not something I'm comfortable doing.”
Jerry Flack: “More like in the new year as I agree, doing it this year is pretty pointless with most title contention and title matches already lined up for the PPV, but I really want you to feel confident and feel you can break that barrier you have with your morals and be a whole new guy.”
Jerry understood how in a way scared Konrad is of taking advantages to himself and he'd go for any title, but the chaos belt as he had no interest of being a weapons based champion, despite the comments Bordy said about Konrad.
Konrad Raab: “Just to be sure Jerry, I will not at any point of my career will even consider Chaos title mainly because and I'm not joking when I say this, I'd be the worst champion and nobody wants to see me become a Chaos champion because I'm not the norm for that wrestling style.”
Jerry Flack: “But you were a hardcore champion this year.”
Konrad Raab: “And how many people took me seriously as a hardcore champion in another company? Nobody did cos it was a lie and UGWC would make a big mistake if they consider me being in a weapons based match as I don't like them.”
Jerry Flack: “I do get where you're coming from. You aren't a hardcore wrestler and I agree, it wouldn't be a wise decision for UGWC to place you in a Chaos match. You aren't someone who uses weapons for the sake of it.”
Konrad nods as he did get the picture now that Jerry at least wanted Konrad to think about title opportunities and taking them for next year as he hasn't really had much luck with them at all since he joined UGWC and apart from Maria who obviously was because of being new to the company, is the only guy in the company who's not had a solo's title shot.
Konrad Raab: “Can I talk about defeating Dave Rydell this week?”
Jerry Flack: “Of course. It's clear you want to get your hands on him for quite some time and I can't blame you for that. Some say you should attack Zane for what he did to you, but considering the circumstances you went through on that, that's a valid reason.”
Konrad Raab: “Yep and I still waiting for answers as to why other than just doing it for business which is an excuse because he could've attacked anybody at that moment if it was down to that. Clearly, it's not and I'm finishing it. After all, it's like Justin on my course, he runs his mouth, but had no balls to challenge me for a fight.”
Jerry Flack: “Shit, I didn't realize that. It is almost the same story all over again that you've not had for a long time. You know how to deal with him and finish him in the ring.”
Konrad was quickly distracted as his phone went off and he holds his hand up and gets the phone out of his pocket and quickly takes a glimpse of who it was before he answered it and speaks.
Konrad Raab: “Is everything alright, Fizz?”
Pause for a minute as Fizz thinks of how to explain what's going on, even some cries Konrad heard in the background that wasn't from Fizz as she says this.
Fizz Raab: “It's about Mattheus.”

A problem I know all too well of how to handle punks like Dave Rydell youtube.com shoot (On camera)
“It's a story I've tackled most of June when I took time away from wrestling is handling punks like yourself who talk so much crap about me, but where's the challenge to fight me? Oh, that's right, I was the one who made it because you honestly think I care for your words on what you say about me?
Oh no Dave because I know nothing you say is entirely true apart from the results and the cooperation title win you got with Angie. I don't need to lower myself to insult you with petty words what children do which is a big problem I have in this business is wrestlers like yourself live for the nasty insults and trashing me under the sun when yet, you've done nothing to challenge me for a match.
I'm better than that and I don't buy into the whole you attacking me for business which by the way, if it was for business, you could've attacked anybody else on the roster, even ones you've had battles with in the past. That's just an excuse and the difference between that and Zane's attack is you meant to do it, Zane didn't. Zane apologised and explained about his attack, you didn't.
I don't allow anybody to get away with what they did, except Zane as there are reasons for that which I truly understand with what he went through at the time of his mental breakdown, but you didn't have that and it's time you faced the music of me shutting you up for good and I'm gonna prove it to you tomorrow night you will regret what you did to me at the PPV.
You will regret attacking me from behind like a coward you are which you've been ever since you ran your mouth down about me and that's gonna put to a stop as I did with a bully in June who ended up getting too scared to fight me, will that happen to you as well when I finally get my hands on you and tackle a problem that needs solving, a very long overgoing problem that needs to be tackled and will be solved right here tomorrow night in Chicago, Illinois.
You will witness The Iceman as much as I hate to say this, but confident to say it on putting a beating on you and to shut your trap. I will show you I'm for damn real in the ring and showing the world, I will overcome a current champion to show how much I mean business and how seriously I take this match, unlike yourself which is why I will win the match because you have no confidence and I do to tackle wrestlers like yourself who have more bark than bite. Prepare to be Iceinated by The Iceman as I will pin you for the three count and have my hand raised in the middle of the ring before I get my handicap match against you and Phrixus or that I get my one on one match with Phruxus Deimos after I've defeated your ass.”
