Changes needed to be made. Chicago, Illinois. Saturday 11th May.
Sitting very patiently for Konrad to arrive in Chicago is his mental trainer, Jerry Flack. As of late, Jerry has been biting his lip a lot due to how Konrad’s reacting to things happening in another wrestling company he’s in. Jerry watches some fighting movie on TV, a comedy fighting movie which he chuckles while drinking a glass of orange juice. Half an hour later, there’s a noise outside of the door as someone rattles the keys, before opening the door. Jerry stands up to see a muddy looking Konrad, wearing LA Galaxy football shirt, LA Galaxy shorts and socks as Jerry gasps, placing his hand on his mouth before speaking.
Jerry Flack: “You didn’t go through airport security, looking like that, did you?”
Konrad Raab: “I went through that many hours ago. I was here long before you were.”
Jerry Flack: “Why are you so dirty?”
Konrad Raab: “Because I was playing soccer against Chicago Fire reserves team.”
Once again, Jerry gasps, knowing absolutely nothing about Konrad playing football like a professional. He thought when Konrad mentioned it in the past, he was joking, but it was clear Konrad did play soccer. Jerry says this.
Jerry Flack: “So, how did you do?”
Konrad Raab: “Well, we tied two goals to two. I scored one, and one of my mates from the team scored the other. It felt good to get my ass back out there and play finally. One of the things that gets my head straight when I’m stressed.”
Jerry Flack: “Shame you can’t play soccer often.”
Konrad Raab: “They know I’m a professional wrestler. I can’t ever play for the first team or get paid for doing it. I don’t get paid at all; I do it because I needed to work on my stamina when I started to wrestle.”
Jerry Flack: “I thought you were saying that as a joke or that you only play with your kids. Wow, how many wrestlers are willing to take the risk of competing in two sports?”
Konrad shook his head at Jerry as he didn’t know which other wrestlers play sports apart from him. He gently uses his hand to slap Jerry on the back of his head as a playful joke, although Konrad says this.
Konrad Raab: “Don’t you ever hear Kenzi talking about playing in a women’s American Football League? There are even a few wrestlers who do MMA as well as wrestling. However, you’d be right if you asked if I’m the only wrestler who plays soccer. Also, this dirt I have on me resembles something else related to a sport as well as of late.”
Jerry Flack: “Wrestling?”
Konrad Raab: “Exactly. It was muddy on the pitch today, but at the same time, it’s a sign of the treatment I’ve been getting from Donovan Hastings as of late.”
Jerry shook his head as Konrad goes to the kitchen and pours himself a glass of orange juice, although he nearly drank it from the carton as he takes a sip.
Jerry Flack: “Not the Donovan Hastings crap again.”
Konrad Raab: “I don’t care if you want me to go for titles, I will not target for any title, until I fight Donovan Hastings one on one since nobody else can be bothered to teach him some respect, especially with that superkick, um I mean eye poke to make it legal to use in the match.”
Jerry Flack: “Titles should be an important goal to go for.”
Konrad Raab: “Didn’t you hear an owner in a company say sometimes, there are more important things to deal with than winning titles?”
It’s clear Konrad remembered something that’s mentioned a few months ago in another company he works for now, Jerry nods, having intense eye contact with Konrad as Jerry sees the amount of boost it’s giving him and Konrad says this.
Konrad Raab: “It’s one of those times. I’ve been kicking, punching, stomping on the floor that Donovan refuses to fight me on his own, claiming he’s a cooperation wrestler, yet he rewards Alan Wallace to fight him on his own. Do you know how much that grinds my gears?”
Jerry Flack: “I understand. I know how much you wa...........”
Konrad Raab: “I NEED to fight Donovan. All people care about is title matches. Even if I won the cooperation title, it still wouldn’t get me a one on one match against him. That was never the plan.”
Jerry Flack: “Now you mention it, I see where you’re coming from. It wouldn’t have gotten your point across if you won the cooperation title and be done with it. Speaking of cooperation wrestlers, you’re facing Travis Pierce this week.”
Although Konrad’s mind has been on the other match that’s announced forty-eight hours ago elsewhere which was good Jerry reminded him as Konrad now slaps himself in the face as he says this.
Konrad Raab: “Yeah, I forgot about that, considering my mind’s been on Donovan most of the time. However, I won’t lie on thinking a lot about a certain title match on Wednesday night.”
Jerry Flack: “While I don’t blame you, you need to focus your attention on Travis. Guess you’re very thankful; I reminded you about it.”
Konrad Raab: “Obviously, I knew I had to come here to wrestle, but forgot about who I was facing. I’m about to show you something else about me that’s changed.”
Jerry Flack: “You’re hair growing longer than I’ve seen.”
Konrad Raab: “No, nothing to do with my hair. You’ll see right now as I’m baking to death.”
Konrad’s sweat pours down from his forehead as there’s a ton of sweat under his arms along with mud on the shirt as he turns his back towards Jerry and takes his shirt off, seeing the artwork on his body. Once again, Jerry stood still, having his mouth fully open as he tentatively smiles, trying to sink the surprise in and he takes a close look at the tattoos, located on his back and his right shoulder.
Jerry Flack: “Why did you get them done?”
Konrad Raab: “I don’t know why at first as I wasn’t myself when I got them. I wasn’t drunk, just was another person, but when I think about it, these tattoos are something that will help me become more confident in myself.”
Jerry Flack: “Because you sure haven’t been lately.”
Konrad Raab: “That’s true, but it’s a start of me wanting and needing to change. Sometimes, changes are good.”
Jerry grins, being fully understanding of Konrad, finding positives in himself to change because of Konrad generally wanting to and he sees Konrad feeling better, although things at home weren’t the same with Luca, bothering him continuously with the letters.
Jerry Flack: “I like them. I like the idea the Iceman from X-Men represents the real you in wrestling, and the blue and black iced yin-yang on your shoulder there will help you accept you’re not perfect and you make mistakes and be a bad person at times.”
Konrad Raab: “That’s what Fizz said when she saw them the first time.”
Konrad sighs, forgetting once again about the match on Monday night and he quickly gets back on track with it.
Konrad Raab: “Anyway, I think we should talk more about Travis Pierce. Yes, I haven’t forgotten what he’s done mostly with his tag partner. For the words he said about me, they don’t hurt me anymore.”
Jerry Flack: “Not to mention, not only you’ve not fought him in a one on one situation, but also he defeated you and Natural Born Killer in the cooperation title contention match.”
Konrad Raab: “I haven’t forgotten about that match. He’s a comedian, but he’s a bad one in terms of taking the mickey out of people and what he did was taking it too far.”
Jerry Flack: “The vomiting stuff was not funny. Of course, that’s the problem with him; he’s stuck in the past. Not to mention he brags his past achievements all the time.”
Konrad Raab: “Problem is he can, even if I won a title here, I wouldn’t brag about it as much as he does. I will shut him down just like that and my fuel of wanting Donovan, challenging him for a one on one match rises every single minute.”
Seething in his voice each time he mentioned and thought of Donovan as he’s grinding his teeth, wanting to punch something as he breathes heavily, looking on the ground as he slightly uses his fist to hit the wall beside the shower room as Konrad says this.
Konrad Raab: “I will defeat Travis Pierce in a match, being a big upset as he’s been defeated before in matches, even for the Chaos title he was champion of. I refuse to take him lightly.”
Jerry Flack: “You better not because I see that you are right now.”
Konrad Raab: “Maybe I’m saving it all for when I speak about him on camera. For now, I’m washing off the dirt of my body, even if I want to leave it on there, until after I’ve dealt with Donovan. After I’ve had this shower, would you mind putting moisturising cream on my back.”
Jerry Flack: “Sure, no problem at all.”
Konrad does what he says as he went in the bathroom to have a quick shower, due to his tattoos being very new and he gets out of the shower, drying himself or drying his back and his right shoulder carefully. Konrad puts a small amount of moisturising cream on his right shoulder to help the tattoo recover and shine on his body.
Konrad comes out and signals Jerry to put a small amount on his back as he gently pats it down and it took him a while to do so as the tattoo on his back was so big. After Jerry’s done that, Konrad sits on the floor, letting the moisturising cream sink in his body while watching TV. After the cream is dried, Konrad gets up and goes in the bedroom to start the laptop up. Once the laptop was loaded and the youtube page was up, Konrad presses record and starts to speak on camera about Travis Pierce and bits about Donovan as well.

“When I lost the cooperation title contention match, I was a little sore at first admittedly, but now when I thought about it, I was okay because I knew if I won the cooperative title, as much as it would mean a lot to my career, at the same time, it wouldn’t have gotten my point across. He still would’ve avoided me like a coward for a one on one match. I won’t rest until I get him because at this point, facing Donovan by myself is more important than chasing and winning titles right now.
I guess that’s something Travis, nor many wrestlers would get right now, considering Travis never really takes anything seriously, apart from when it’s title contention/title matches, likewise with Jet as of late too. Yes, Travis has won every title there is to name in this company. Impressive and I’m not in any way going to underestimate him as much as people want to.
But don’t you think people know what you’ve done in your career to beat a dead horse over it? That’s all you talk about is the past, and I even consider the cooperative title contention match the past now. You and Jet only want to face Donovan for the titles. It’s different with me because after the dirt I’ve had to wash over fifty times because of how Donovan’s treated me, I need a one on one match with him.
Especially how I’ve not been too happy of you bringing up the vomiting part of me, I’m not proud of that, but it was because I was sick of my hard work being ignored. I won’t continue over that because everyone knows why I did it. You see, you can be Mr Entertainment of the business, but it only gets you so far to a point, your comedian stuff gets stale after a while.
It’s sad Travis only remembers that about me than the hard work I’ve had to do to make things right for UGWC, especially when it comes to Donovan, making me even more hungry to face him, especially he’s willing to give Alan Wallace a one on one match and not me. Of course, you’re one sorry man if you think you’re going to win this match, you’re sadly mistaken because I will do everything to make sure Donovan sees his future of what beatings he’ll witness when he and I step in the ring.
Nothing I’ve said is a joke because I mean every single word of it, and everyone will see what I mean when I will use my Ice Storm finisher, pinning him for the three count because this hunger for facing Donovan Hastings only gives me more confidence and believe I can, and I will win this match. On Monday night, live in Chicago Travis, you’ll be prepared to be Iceinated by The Iceman.”
