Two hours after being announced as an Outlast captain. Chicago, Illinois. Monday 26th August.
After the tag win with Sebastian-Everett-Bryce and Sloane Taylor and being told by Ichabod that he and Sebastian were announced as team captains for Outlast, Konrad's speechless, being completely frozen with his body as his mouth falls open and even tears willing up, not because of sadness or anger, but happiness. Konrad rubs his eyes to still hear those words of being captain. Part of the happiness tears was also him still being a Chaos title contender. Fizz, who was with him all the time now because of protection rubs him down and gives him a gentle hug.
She had been watching the show on TV as Konrad forbids Fizz from going anywhere near the arena, especially in the circumstances they were in with Luca's friend on the loose to kill her. She sees Konrad not speaking for two hours, and she kisses him on his cheek and says this.
Fizz Raab: "I got to say, that announcement came out of nowhere, didn't it?"
At this point, due to the news, Konrad nodded, and he wasn't able to talk, coming to terms with the announcement and Fizz who strokes his shoulders while Konrad still has happy tears coming out of his eyes, dropping to the floor comforts him and says this.
Fizz Raab: "I know you aren't talking to Jerry or me because of the news and we understand how much it means to you, but we know the reason your named as captain is not only because of your experience in the ring, but it's also down to people being able to trust you. I know those are the main reasons."
There was a knock on their bedroom door as Fizz gets up and walks to the door to open it and sees Jerry, looking inward and blinking his eyes continuously as he leans in towards them to come in the bedroom and he sits next to Konrad on their bed, still coming to terms with the news as he asks a question.
Jerry Flack: "Are you alright?"
Konrad nods while Fizz comforts him while touching his heart with his hand as Fizz says this.
Fizz Raab: "It came like a bolt of lightning to him, that's all. I can't blame him for not speaking as I'd likely be in the same position if I were Konrad."
Jerry Flack: "Yes, while what Fizz said to you was true, but you're more than capable of leading a team. What does it mean to you to be a captain?"
Konrad listens to every word, even if he wasn't making any eye contact, but when Jerry asked that question, he looked right in his eyes with direct contact and with Fizz as well, wiping the tears off his face from happiness.
Konrad Raab: "Means the whole world to me. I'm sorry for being so quiet; just when Ichabod announced I'm a captain, I couldn't think or say anything other than crying my eyes out when I walked backstage to my locker room, sinking in the emotions I had because I couldn't believe it."
Jerry Flack: "No, don't be because any announcement like that would take a few steps back and let it digest in your mind. I did leave the locker room to give Konrad space after that announcement. To tell you both the truth, even I didn't know Ichabod was going to announce that. I wouldn't even think about Konrad being a captain of something prestigious like this. Have you been a captain of anything like this before in wrestling?"
Konrad Raab: "No."
Jerry Flack: "Take it as if you're a captain of the LA Galaxy reserves team, making sure everyone plays their part and having full trust in you. It's the same thing with wrestling. I know, soccer and wrestling are different animals, but was saying as an example."
Konrad nodded, he only can at this point because he still was struggling to say anything as he does feel significantly happy and there's nothing wrong with Konrad being satisfied, although it was too much for Konrad to cope as of late. Fizz says this.
Fizz Raab: "Yeah, I've seen how well you've lead LA Galaxy reserves, team. Truth is I also think they know how much passion you have for UGWC. I'm surprised you've not spoken about you being in the CWF Omega/Alpha tournament yet. I do think that plays apart as well."
Jerry Flack: "Maybe Konrad hadn't gotten around to it, right?"
Konrad nods, and they continue talking.
Jerry Flack: "I agree, they've seen how much you've improved over the last few months, and you have overcome so many barriers stacked against you. You've not lost a match in over a month now. That's where the factor of Outlast captain comes in your case. Konrad Raab is the most capable captain out of everyone in UGWC."
Konrad sits up, and he hears Fizz and Jerry how happy they are for him to get the spot he did, and he hadn't spoken, until the question about how much it meant to him came up and he says this to them, still coming over the bolt of lightning struck on his body and himself.
Konrad Raab: "I'm glad you both understand how I feel. I've never had to take that responsibility in wrestling before. I hear what you mean about being a captain for the LA Galaxy reserves team in my last match, but wrestling is a much bigger task of leading a team. Tomorrow, we'll start discussing together who is suited for Team Iceman and plot some names down."
Jerry Flack: "I agree, and also with something like this, it gives people a chance to know the real you as I don't think you attempt to interact with others and being a captain will force you to do that. Let the UGWC world who Konrad Raab is as much as the other company does."
Fizz Raab: "I agree, I do like to see you engage in relationships with other UGWC wrestlers, apart from Jet Somers who I know has been a massive help to you on being mentally prepared for Chaos matches. You've come so far this year, and you should be proud of yourself."
Konrad Raab: "I am. If you excuse me, Jerry, I want to spend some alone time with Fizz."
Jerry nods, accepting Konrad's request as Konrad couldn't be happier than he was after being announced as a captain. He had never done anything like this in wrestling in his life, but he knows at the same time, wrestling is a different ball game than leading a soccer team to a pitch and check on everyone, especially those he could get wouldn't follow his instructions. They got in bed, did their business together before they fall asleep forty-five minutes later.

Feeling like being on a roller coaster ride. Chicago, Illinois. Saturday 31st August.
When things couldn't get any better for Konrad with winning a Chaos title shot and being announced as a captain of an Outlast team in UGWC, they certainly did as the other company he's been working with for four years announced something significant for Konrad, a World title shot, thanks to a champion, asking to face Konrad for the belt. He had the same reaction to it, frozen body, being speechless, mouth dropping to the floor and tears willing up of happiness.
He, Fizz and Jerry were in the living room with Konrad, still feeling like he had been shot with multiple bolts of lighting in his body with the announcement of a world title shot, on top of the Outlast Captain stuff which he's delayed making a list for many days now because of his ridiculous training to prepare for the title match.
Although it's clear Jerry saw Konrad losing complete sight of the decision making of the team, he still was lost for words and hadn't spoken much since then just all these announcements coming in one week made Konrad in tears of happiness non-stop. Jerry says this while Konrad's sweating all over the table, being out of breath from training a ridiculous amount of hours in the gym.
Jerry Flack: "I know how much the World title match means to you, but we need to get back at task about deciding who will be apart of Team Iceman."
Konrad Raab: "Oh, shoot, I forgot all about that."
Fizz Raab: "But in this case Jerry, you can't blame him with that announcement from the other company after the champion himself asked the company to put his belt on the line against Konrad."
Jerry Flack: "No, of course not. However, the deadline to decide who you want is Monday, and we need to get things together now."
Konrad slaps himself in the face as he blinks his eyes rapidly, even with that bombshell announcement, he now does think about the Outlast team. He had a few names on his mind written down straight away with names he wanted on the top. It didn't take long for him to figure out who he wanted as Fizz and Jerry looked at the names and Jerry nodding with each one of them.
Jerry Flack: "So you're happy with your decision making?"
Konrad Raab: "Yes, I'm certainly am. That didn't take long for me to do."
Fizz Raab: "It was like when Jerry reminded you, you wrote right away who you wanted. I like the names you have."
Konrad Raab: "I have my reasons for picking those names, and I'm sticking with it and will carry it around until Monday at least. How am I gonna focus on the Captain match and that title match all in the same week?"
Jerry could understand Konrad's state of being completely lost, holding his head, although still happy tears rolling down from his face and sweat pouring down from his forehead. Fizz gives Konrad a towel and places it on his forehead to wipe his sweat on, and Jerry gives him a bit of advice to comfort his head being lost in the woods.
Jerry Flack: "Focus only on the Captain match for now. Put the title match out of your mind temporary and don't even think about talking about it in UGWC."
Konrad Raab: "I'm finding that a bit impossible right now to tell you the truth. I will try though because you're right, facing Gabrielle Sinn, Hide Yamazaki, Sarah Grey-Lacklan, Sebastian Everett-Bryce and Travis Pierce is what I should be focused on first. I'm getting sick and tired of Sarah, mocking me for being sick months ago."
Jerry Flack: "It is pathetic to drag something out that happened what almost six months ago. It's all she can say about you, though."
Konrad Raab: "Yeah, seems it. I wouldn't even dare to talk trash about Sebastian. He's the only wrestler out of the whole lot I respect the most. I have some for all of them, but not as much as Sebastian. Hide I won't talk trash to either because it's his manager who talks for him and, to be honest, I will only speak about Hide and not Johnny. I don't like talking trash to people who don't wrestle."
It was the one thing Konrad never did when he fought Hide was talking trash to Johnny Bonecrusher. He stands up to spin his whole body in front of Fizz and Jerry and Fizz while sitting there quietly because she didn't know anybody from UGWC, unlike the other company Konrad's in says this.
Fizz Raab: "It's how he's been feeling the entire time. He has told me his head hasn't stopped spinning since Wednesday cos of these upcoming matches."
Jerry Flack: "At least he's spinning now than later."
Konrad then got dizzy as he blinks his eyes, looking around with blurry eyes as he still tries to think about the Captain match as much as Konrad could and Konrad sits down, breathing uncontrollably as Konrad picks up a bottle of water and drinks it as he states this.
Konrad Raab: "I needed to take a roller-coaster ride there on what it feels like a bizarre week. Feeling much better now, though."
Fizz Raab: "Certainly does, but let's get back to you talking about the captain's match."
Konrad Raab: "Anyway, yes, of course, we do. Travis Pierce, I recently had a match with who also is like Sarah in a way, but at least he hasn't talked about it as much since I defeated him. Gabrielle Sinn, well I still won't underrate her because she has nearly defeated me in the past, I won't lie, my past of Amanda Cortez nearly cost me the last two matches against her."
Jerry Flack: "I know, but you got your head right in the game to win yourself a shot for the Chaos title."
Konrad nods at Jerry, agreeing with him, but as he places a finger to his head, he tries to not even think about the other title match he has, but it was difficult. Of course, Konrad had to and still being completely in tears of happiness on things coming on him at once. Konrad speaks after coming around with things.
Konrad Raab: "Yes, but I'm not thinking any title shots I have in this current time, I'm focused on winning the match against the other five captains and get that win to earn the right to choose my first wrestler in Team Iceman. I'm looking forward to it and wanting to win this match and the Outlast match so badly."
Fizz Raab: "I can tell."
Konrad Raab: "With the team I picked, I'm certain that things can and will work. Anyway, I'm stinking of body odour at this point and need to take a shower."
He was right, even Fizz and Jerry could smell Konrad, how smelly and sweaty he was, but it was because he had been training for six hours a day to prepare for matches, although it had been mostly the other match he has on Wednesday night. While Konrad went in the shower, Fizz sighs and shook in fear as she says this.
Fizz Raab: "Konrad scared me on Thursday. He asked if he could train twenty-four hours non stop."
Jerry Flack: "Woah, that's insanity."
Fizz Raab: "It is, and I said no straight away. I also said you can't overdo your training like that. It will kill you if you don't stop to rest, sleep and eat. It made me cry because he wants to push himself way too hard without caring for his body and himself. I said to him do at least six hours then. That's when we agreed."
Jerry Flack: "Thank goodness, you stopped him, and he listened to you; otherwise, he would've killed himself. He's crazy at times at how bad he wants to be in shape and be prepared for matches, but no man or woman would even dare to work out that much for competitions or matches. Anyway, I'll leave you both alone and enjoy the rest of your day yourselves."
Fizz Raab: "We will."
Jerry goes to grab his things with his items as he decides to get a place in a hotel room to leave Fizz and Konrad private time on their own and before he leaves, he turns to Fizz around the corner of the door to say this.
Jerry Flack: "I've never seen a wrestler like him wanting to put so much effort, dedication and passion he has for wrestling, and that's saying a lot when I've seen so many wrestlers like him before. Anyway, tell Konrad I'll see him on Monday."
Fizz nods as Jerry closed the door; it was something Fizz couldn't hide from Jerry on the fact Konrad scared her with a full day's training with no sleep, no rest and no eating. It's something Fizz should be used to by now with Konrad going crazy with his focus on title matches, especially major ones like that. He comes out with a pair of pants on after drying himself, and they watch a movie the whole day together.
----------------------------------------------------
This means the whole world to me youtube.com shoot. (English subtitles when I speak about Hide in Japanese will appear on this video)
“Since Monday, I've barely said a word because of emotions I've been having after being named as captain. Good feelings to a point I cried in happiness. Why? Because that's how much I appreciate being named as a captain for Outlast. This one came out of nowhere as I didn't see this coming, although I had another bombshell of my life on Wednesday in another company which did leave me to put Outlast on a back burner for a bit, until Saturday with a reminder from Jerry, but it has felt like I've been on two roller-coaster rides this week. All I can say to Ichabod is thank you, and I'll gladly take the honour of being a leader of my team.
Anyway, moving on, this match gives all of us a chance to get the first pick of their teams. That's quite exciting, to say the least as in terms of wrestling, I've never had this big responsibility fall on my lap before. That's another reason why I was in tears of happiness with the news on that. I can't ignore all of my other fellow captains in the match, can I? Of course not because I don't ever disrespect this business by doing that. That's not how things work with me at all.
Let's start with someone I have a ton of respect for, Sebastian-Everett-Bryce. I have nothing bad to say to you to be honest because so far, you've said and done nothing wrong to me. The connection you have with Sloane Taylor from my own eyes is fantastic. I've never seen a team wanting to win matches fair and square in a very long time. I wish there were more teams like you both out there.
Gabrielle Sinn, I have to admit surprised me more than once during our matches. I won't lie, I nearly lost to her twice because I kept thinking of the past with her well let's say her job outside of wrestling because until now, I've even overcome the fact that no more, will I ever underestimate you and I haven't since our first match together. You'll improve in no time once you get settled in, especially admittedly, I feel bad I may have destroyed your confidence, but you did win a match last week, and I was proud of you for that, really I was. I look forward to seeing how well you'll do in a match. Quickly now, you must find your form and your skills in the ring this week.
I will talk about Travis before I speak about Hide as I need to speak in a different language with him. I will discuss what I'm about to say to you later on as it also involves Sarah too, but I hope the loss you had against me will help you learn not to overlook me ever again. You can be all entertainment, but I don't think you take wrestling as seriously as you should. You and me are bipolar opposites as I take wrestling exceptionally seriously, especially this week. Although you did defeat Alan Wallace which isn't an easy feat to do so maybe, you're taking wrestling more seriously now, but it may just be too late."
At this point, Konrad pauses as it was switching from one language to the other as he says this in Japanese.
(In English subtitles) "Now we go to Hide. I won't lie; the win you had against me set me back more than a few places. It stung a lot, and all this time you were beating me, I was suffering from rib injuries I had from another wrestler, twenty-four hours before facing you. Now, no question you was better than me mentally in the first blood match, but psychically you were too. I will never talk about Johnny or his comments because honestly, I respect the guy and I don't like trashing someone who's not wrestling in the ring. You may have beaten me a month ago, but I've grown to get better, and now, I've got a shot at the Chaos title because I've had a kick up my backside to perform better. If you want to get your hands dirty, Hide, bring it on because I can do the same."
Once again, Konrad pauses as he switches back to speaking in English again, only this time it's addressed to Sarah Lacklan.
"As for you Sarah, I've never known anybody besides Roxy and Kenzi act like a bunch of kids. Yes, I puked back in February and March time, but that was seven months ago. If that's the only thing you can talk about along with other sex crap you do which is none of your business by the way, says a lot that you don't pay any attention to anything going on with me around UGWC, showing how pathetic you are to care about those things, yet nothing about me as a wrestler. You're the most inconsistent wrestler out of all of us. At least everyone above have shown commitment throughout the entire time to UGWC for a whole year or in a few months in Gabrielle and Sebastian's case, you come here and show up when you damn please and that really grinds my gears because I'm not a fan of wrestlers like you showing up and then not hear from you, until there's a tournament coming up. Is there a reason why you can't be committed to the companies you're in? I'm in another company apart from here, and I'm committed to being in both of them, equally.
This is the first time I'm saying this, but for those of you who do question my passion for wrestling, then you should know that these last few weeks, I've been wrestling more than just in UGWC, I've been representing and promoting this company along with the other one I'm apart of in CWF in a global tournament called Alpha/Omega tournament where we have a certain amount of matches bi-weekly and whoever gets the most points, wins the CWF title.
The point is that I will take the opportunity with both of my hands and show you all why Konrad Raab is the most trustworthy captain you'll ever know. I will never stab anybody in the back, regardless if some of you like me or not, I will have trust in all of you who'll join me, equally and that's how things will be done. I also won't be afraid as a captain to call you out on trying to cheat to win either. That's not tolerated in my team. I will go on to win because I have the passion and dedication to do so and I'm excited as hell to lead Team Iceman to victory at Outlast and winning this match as the captain by pinfall or submission, earning my right once again to get the first pick of the night. Tomorrow night in Chicago, prepare to be Iceinated by The Iceman."
