The cameras weren't in the arena, but instead outside the parking garage, which is a little usual from the norm you see from other wrestlers. However, as one of the cameramen got up close, there were archery boards outside as there was a man, shooting arrows with his bow, a man they call Jake Raab. Jake had never been a guy that stands backstage and talks; it was never his cup of tea.
Jake doesn't notice the cameras were on him as he was focused on shooting his arrows at the archery boards until the cameraman clears his throat, catching his attention. Jake places the arrows back in their rightful place, along with his bow, after the match he had with Baxter Wright. As Jake turns to the camera, making sure his archery boards were on camera and begins to speak.
Jake Raab: "I've not really spoken about myself as of late, and so I will do that. I know a lot of you are wondering, where did my "The Fiery Target" nickname come from? Well as you can see, I'm a massive fan of the Arrow TV series, and I love the aspect of shooting things with a bow and arrow. So I started taking up archery lessons, and I enjoyed the feeling of having a bow and arrow in my hands. I always come out here and shoot some arrows, that's the type of guy I am. Speaking backstage to the cameras makes me nervous, and I don't feel as comfortable as I do out here, shooting arrows."
The crowd still were getting used to Jake, being his second-ever match in XHW, more to introduce himself, but at the same time, he heard what a fellow competitor said last week and Jake nodded to be in the same position. To relax, he goes over to shoot a couple of arrows before coming back on camera and speaks again.
Jake Raab: "But something occurred to me what Evan Love said last week, how he's been pushed around and how people overlook him. I can understand all of that completely because I used to be in that same situation in another company. The only time when wrestlers spoke about me is behind my back on twitter, talking crap about me every single time without directing those comments to me in their videos. They were nothing more than cowards. I don't get that feeling here at all. I gained more respect from both Smith Jones and Baxter Wright than I ever got from any wrestler in my old company. Evan and I should team together because we have that same background of being pushed over and being overlooked as performers in the ring."
Jake felt the same thing, making him nod his head as he goes back to shoot a few more arrows at the archery boards before he speaks again.
Jake Raab: "I also want to turn a few heads around and get people to talk about me as a professional wrestler and what I'm able to do. I took Smith Jones to his absolute limits last time around. I jumped right in the chance for a title shot because I don't care what people think when I jump in for title chances anymore. I will take every opportunity I get, and XHW has given me a chance to shine straight off the bat. I already feel XHW is more of a home than any company I've attempted to walk in. XHW wrestlers so far have given me nothing, but respect and that's what I want, to be respected as a wrestler and be respected for the work I put out there as well as being a former MMA star and an archery star as well."
Jake nodded, agreeing what he said so far in himself as he shoots a few more arrows at the archery targets before coming back and saying this.
Jake Raab: "I've never been happy as I have been here in XHW and I've also never looked bright at my future for a long time, and that means good things for me going forward. I can't tell you how much better I feel to get things off my chest and look forward to the future of being a much happier wrestler and focus on being a champion of XHW without crap being thrown at me. I'm always available to team with you, Evan if you want to be a well-known name like I do as well in wrestling. Regardless, for now, I will focus on myself achieving great things in XHW with a massive smile on my face because The Fiery Target is coming to you very soon."
Jake went back to shooting the arrows with his bow before the cameras switch to elsewhere in the arena.
